Barton County Historical Museum and Village

Take a fascinating walk into the past at the Village and Museum. The Village is located south of Great Bend on U.S. 281 (just south of the Arkansas River Bridge). The Museum features a variety of displays covering the history of Barton County from its Native American roots to its rich World War II history. The Museum sits among rescued and restored buildings from the past - an 1871 pioneer home, 1898 church, 1910 train depot, 1915 one-room school house, and a small post office. Group tours are available. Admission is charged. For information call 620-793-5125.
