The center is located on the Wetlands & Wildlife National Scenic Byway at the eastern edge of Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area and The Nature Conservancy Cheyenne Bottoms Preserve. It is staffed with naturalists. Tours and programs are available daily. There is a gift shop, traveler information, and nature trails. Facilities are available for meetings and special events.
- Interpretive learning. Study the state-of-the-art interpretive exhibits that tell the story of Cheyenne Bottoms from its geological formation to the management challenges of the future. Discover the magnificence of these wetlands and the animals and plants living here.
- Bird watching. From inside the center you can watch Great Blue Herons stalking their prey or Mallards tending to their young. Naturalists will be on hand to enhance your visit and answer your questions.
- Educational programming. The Kansas Wetlands Education center offers educational programming and events for all ages. Whether you are looking for a fun and educational activity to do as a family, or a couple looking for an adults-only program, they have the perfect program for you!
