Founded in 1952, the Brit Spaugh Zoo is home to over 100 mammals, birds, reptiles, and insects. The zoo is dedicated to the conservation, preservation and rescue of animals and to the education and entertainment of children and adults. - Raptor Center. The zoo boasts one of Great Bend's most prominent attractions, the Raptor Center. This state-of-the-art facility includes a raptor rehabilitation center and interpretive exhibits. Visitors can watch the rehabilitation of injured birds through one-way mirrors and compare their wingspan to various raptors!
- Aquarium. After that long walk through the zoo, take a moment to regroup and step inside the aquarium room which houses fish from all over the world. Relax and enjoy studying over the various different species of fish.
